About Us
The STA was initially formed in 1983 by a group of tennis enthusiasts and parents of tennis players who wanted tennis to be a high school sport. Since then, the STA has evolved into a 501c3 nonprofit; become an affiliate of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) as a Community Tennis Association (CTA); and is a member of the USTA National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) network.
STA’s broad focus is to make tennis available to all youth of the Yampa Valley. We now see the sport of tennis as a vehicle to build character on and off the court.
