Meet our Board Members and staff who volunteer their time to make this organization work!

  • Warren Luce - Executive Director

    Warren’s business experience includes 22 years of management positions with Pacific Telephone and ATT plus 13 years as co-founder of a software company. He has served on boards of two other non-profits and is currently the Executive Director of the Steamboat Tennis Association. Warren has enjoyed tennis for many years and is particularly invested in helping to educate youth through the healthy sport of tennis.

  • Wade Wykert - Board President

    Wade, board member since 2018, appreciates the community of Steamboat that supports so many worthwhile enrichment programs. The STA community integrates and funds  tennis, life lessons, high school tennis competition as well as lessons. His reward is observing the maturation process.

  • Bert Halberstadt - Secretary

    Bert has grown with "the STA kids" for over 12 years as a volunteer and Board member, enjoying the challenges and growth.  When not so occupied, he also serves on the Har Mishpacha Board (past president) and Piknik Theatre Board, and is an active Emeritus Attorney and former judiciary member of the Delaware Bar.  Some think he is a would-be senior tennis hustler. 

  • Emilie Rogers - Student Travel Coordinator and Youth Coach

    Emilie has lived in Steamboat for 23 years. As an avid tennis player, her family chose Steamboat because of the wonderful tennis community. The STA's mission to support young tennis players is what fuels the future of tennis in our community.

  • Ann Coon - Education Liaison

    Moved to Steamboat in January of 1991 (34 years) from Ohio. Graduate The Ohio State University, 1989, Married to Geoff Coon three boys, Jack, 27, William 25, Lucas, 24. Lifelong tennis player and court sport and all sport enthusiast. Educational Leader since 2002, Ski Area International Marketing Director 1993-2002. STA Board Member since 2020 working closely with students as the Education Liaison. Initiated the first SERVES program in Steamboat in 2017 and supported the growth of Serves and Pathways for underserved youth in our community. Love to garden, cook, ski, hike and travel.

  • Courtney Hernandez

    Courtney Hernandez has lived in Steamboat Springs for 23 years with husband Enrique Hernandez and children Ricky and Sofia and enjoys hiking with her dog Shaylee in the summer. Courtney has worked at Alpine Bank for 17 years in various roles and is currently serving as the Retail Business Banker. What drew Courtney to the STA board is their commitment to bringing sports to all kids in Routt County, no matter families income level. She believes sports can have such a huge impact on a child’s growth and confidence and really from there the sky is the limit!

  • Jessica Powell - Director of SERVES & Communications

    Jessica began working with the STA in 2021 as a teaching professional helping with the SERVES and adaptive programs. In the beginning of 2025, she was hired on as Director of the SERVES program and also began taking on communications responsibilities. It is Jessica's goal to remove as many barriers as possible between tennis and the youth in Routt County.
